Zenith Bank
Zenith Bank Plc, a leader in financial services, with headquarters in Nigeria, and subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, and South Africa (Representative Office), offers premium solutions to its teeming customers. Incorporated as Zenith International Bank Limited on 30 May 1990 and Headquartered in Lagos Nigeria as a private limited liability company, the Bank was licensed to carry on the business of banking in June 1990. The Bank's name was changed to Zenith Bank Plc on 20 May 2004 to reflect its status as a public limited liability company. The Bank's shares were listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on 21 October 2004 following a highly successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). Nigerian institutions and individuals numbering over a million currently own the shares of the bank.
The Bank's main service delivery channels in Nigeria are its business offices which as at 2011 had risen to about 330 branches and over 125 cash offices. These are located in prime business and commercial centres in all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Within the first decade of operation, the Bank made its mark in profitability and all other performance indices, and has maintained this prime position till date.
From being just another bank in Nigeria, Zenith Bank Plc has grown organically to become a financial services institution of choice with presence in Africa and the United Kingdom. This is as a result of our strategic resolve to burst' the limits of the Nigerian banking industry, and the strength of our brand. The impressive performance of the Zenith Bank brand in all our locations and offices within and outside Nigeria is an eloquent testimony of the bank's passionate commitment to global best practices and consistent quality service delivery.

The Bank will continue to offer specialised financial services such as Pension Management but would discontinue services in Insurance, Capital Market dealings, Trusteeship, Registrar, Mortgage and financial advisory services in line with its decision to adopt the commercial banking license with international authorisation.
